FTTx rollouts aim to bring fibre closer to uses and users. Many high-speed network architectures use optical fibre to deliver improved quality of service.
New applications such as 5G, smartcity and IOT require low-latency broadband networks. The development of these new needs is closely dependent on FTTx rollouts. Telenco's connection solutions have been developed to guarantee optimum connection quality from the central office to the user, whether in a private or professional environment.

OTO for splicing/ OTO for DIN rail kits are quick installation solutions for OTOs pre-assembled in the factory with a customer drop cable. This solution has been designed to reduce the time it takes for a field engineer to visit the customer's premises.Supplied in boxed reels, the kits can be unrolled and installed quickly, reliably, and easily. This eliminates the need for splicing on the customer's premises. Several sizes are available, depending on the type of Droptic® cable used, to optimise transport and storage space and reduce carbon footprint.

Eline® PBIs are building connection point boxes developed to connect the fibres of the building riser cable to the subscriber socket. They can be used to connect up to 12 customers in the SC spliced or pre-terminated version, or up to 16 customers in the LC version. They can be installed indoors in a technical duct or juxtaposed visibly to a trunking. They allow direct connection or the use of 1×4 or 1×8 splitters. PBICs are a version with a building connection point connector and provide a "plug and play" solution for the customer connection.

Eline® PMIs can be used to connect buildings to the fibre-optic network for connecting and patching subscriber links. They are designed to be stacked in order to increase capacity or manage the arrival of several operators.Eline® PMIs are available in 24, 48 or 72 FO versions, fitted with adaptors, splice-trays, or pigtails. These are metal enclosures with openings for cross-connection between several modules when installed in cascade. PMIs are an ideal solution for routing optical fibre to the foot of residential buildings.

Droptic® indoor drop cables are used to connect individual and collective residential units to FTTH infrastructure. They offer easy access to the fibre and mechanical performance that makes them easy to install. These cables are specifically designed for indoor fibre optic rollout, from the point of connection to the subscriber's final outlet. They can be laid in cable trays, pulled, pushed, routed inside occupied ducts or simply stapled or glued along skirting boards. Their LSZH sheathing complies with the European Construction Products Regulation.

Droptic® indoor drop cables are pre-terminated at the factory. They have SC/APC or LC/APC connectors at one or both ends. They guarantee a high and lasting level of optical performance, while reducing connection times. Pre-terminated cables enable interconnection between the various equipment and flexibility points in the network: indoors, for example, to connect the operator's box to an optical wall socket, the cables comply with construction product directives on fire behaviour.

Droptic® indoor/outdoor drop cables have a double sheath or a UV-resistant LSZH sheath. They are designed to be multi-purpose, enabling practical and rapid installation during FTTH rollouts. In the case of double-sheathed cables, the outer HDPE sheath is quickly and easily stripped to make way for an inner sheath that complies with the Construction Products Regulations: halogen-free, low-smoke and fire-retardant. No intermediate splice is required.

Droptic® pre-terminated indoor/outdoor drop cables provide a safe and easy connection between the optical connection point and the customer's home. These cables are versatile, as they can be installed overhead or underground, but they can also be used in the interoperability zone of pre-terminated PBOs. During installation, the connector and fanout are mechanically protected by a pre-installed flexible device.

Eline® PBOs can be installed on poles or facades to connect up to 12 customers. They are available in spliced versions and also pre-terminated for "plug and play" subscriber connection. A bypass can be used to supply a second PBO. All Eline® PBOs are delivered pre-equipped and require no additional components. They allow customer connections via splices or directly via SC or LC connections for PBO T1 and T2 versions. The Optopod version has an external waterproof connector for customer connection. PBOs are also available with 1x8 splitters.

Droptic® outdoor drop cables offer great versatility. They can be installed overhead or underground, using pulling techniques, over several hundred metres in length. These cables provide a degree of flexibility when deploying networks, while offering optimum optical performance. They are manufactured with black, high-density polyethylene outer sheaths that are UV, wear and tear resistant. This gives them high mechanical performance.

The rollout of telecommunications cables involves numerous transition points that can be exposed to various types of damage. Cable protection is therefore essential to ensure the long-term viability of telecoms networks and to limit the need to carry out work on them. In response, Telenco offers a range of protective equipment, from sheaths for running cables along a support, to overhead-underground transitions and electrical protection for Figure 8 cables.
