They allow direct connection or the use of 1×4 or 1×8 splitters. PBICs are a version with a building connection point connector and provide a "plug and play" solution for the customer connection.

A bypass can be used to supply a second PBO. All Eline® PBOs are delivered pre-equipped and require no additional components. They allow customer connections via splices or directly via SC or LC connections for PBO T1 and T2 versions. The Optopod version has an external waterproof connector for customer connection.
