This is a crucial part of the network that hosts the operators' active equipment and subsequently serves fibre to the user. Thousands of optical fibres pass through the PoP (Point of Presence). Access, distribution, and management of interconnections within the PoP require reliable and scalable equipment.

Telenco single-mode indoor trunks facilitate the rollout of cabling in telecoms networks, data centres, and environments requiring high connection density. These trunks make installation easier and quicker, thanks to their reduced cable diameter and small footprint. Telenco's single-mode indoor trunks are pre-terminated in our factory, enabling rapid connection between different equipment. They are 100% configurable and terminable on one or both sides.

Drawing on its experience, Telenco is developing solutions to optimise optical networks designed to serve mobile sites based on WDM (Wavelength-Division Multiplexing), optical filters and splitters. Our solutions have enabled us to implement optimised 10 Gb service networks on just 2 optical fibres, while ensuring redundancy. Wavelength-division multiplexing enables several circuits to be carried on a single fibre or pair of fibres, optimising the use of leased fibres or cables approaching saturation.

Telenco's single-mode optical pigtails are fibre-optic cables with a connector installed on one end, leaving the other end bare. The side with the connector can be connected to equipment, and the other side soldered with fibre-optic cables. Pigtails are used to terminate fibre-optic cables by fusion or mechanical splicing. They serve to interconnect telecoms networks and are therefore very much in demand. They can be fitted with standard SC, LC and FC connectors.

Telenco offers a range of modular swivelling patch panels specifically designed for patching optical fibres in FTTH networks. They are mainly intended for street cabinets and open frames, and can also be installed in conventional cabinets. These swivelling patch panels open to the left by swivelling (right-hand swivelling on request), giving full access to the rear of the patch panel and the splice trays while leaving the patch cords connected. They are equipped with optical adaptors and assembled pigtails, splice trays, and accessories. They are available in 1U, 2U and 3U sizes and in splitter and splice versions.

Telenco's single-mode attenuators are used with fibre-optic equipment and cables to reduce the power level of the optical signal. They therefore avoid any risk of damage to the measurement devices or active equipment. In male/female format, they are fixed directly between the plugs and the optical adaptors.

Telenco's single-mode PLC splitters are based on planar chip technology. This technology contains silicon microstrip chips that form a waveguide grating with very high stability in the wavelength range from 1260 to 1660 nm. These splitters are the main components of FTTx/PON (Passive Optical Network) and CATV (Community Antenna Television) networks. They are easily installed in splice trays, fibre-optic patch panels or optical splice protection boxes. They are used to divide an optical signal at the splitter input into several fibres at the splitter output.
