The Telenco Group is proud to announce that its targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions have been validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi)*. This validation marks a crucial step in our long-standing commitment to reducing our environmental footprint, consolidating the initiatives we have been pursuing in this area for several years.
Since its creation, Telenco has focused on integrating sustainable practices at the heart of its industrial activities. Our commitment to the SBTi initiative demonstrates our determination to align our emissions reduction targets with the Paris Agreement to help limit climate change. Based on rigorous data and calculations, this thorough process confirms that our current and future commitments meet the highest standards in combatting climate change.
By committing to reduce our Scope 1 and 2** emissions by -54.6% by 2033 and our Scope 3** emissions by 32.5% by 2033, the Telenco Group is once again demonstrating its commitment to driving positive and sustainable change in its industry.
This SBTi validation thus reinforces our environmental ambitions and assures our stakeholders - be they our customers, or industrial, financial or institutional partners - that we are acting with seriousness and transparency to address the environmental challenges of our time.
*Launched in June 2015, SBTi is a collective initiative that aims to support businesses using a methodology that is aligned and consistent with the recommendations made by the IPCC. For more information: https://sciencebasedtargets.or...
