Telenco – Telecommunications Engineering Company – is born out of the ambitious project of its three founders. It was in 1999 that these contractors decided to reunite their product and market expertise for launching an activity -nowadays historical - of hardware and anchoring solutions for telecom overhead cables.
The story of Telenco started in 1999 when three entrepreneurs from the French Alps decided to combine their skills to build up an economic activity in a field already mastered by each one of them: the pole line hardware.
Driven by the booming deployment of telecom networks in France and abroad, the company experiences a strong growth ever since its creation. Out of this constant growth rises the need to adapt the group’s offer to the market evolution, especially given the considerable development of fiber optics. Thus, in 2011 the company splits in two specialized entities:
– Telenco networks for the design, the manufacture and the export
– Telenco distribution for the supply of material for the networks deployment and maintenance and equipment for technicians
One year later, Telenco services came out to complete the group’s offer with counseling, training and maintenance services in the more specific field of telecom test and measurement.
Thanks to a particularly innovative R&D team, Telenco group is a major player in equipment for FTTH deployments. The group develops a complete offer that meets the requirements of the French Broadband Plan supported by the French government to speed up FTTH implementation into households.
The group is determined to continue its progress and is already preparing the networks of the future. 5G, smart cities, IoT and connected objects are rapidly gaining market place, thus occupy an important part in our reflections.
