The Telenco Group is getting bigger. In line with its international growth strategy and after opening a subsidiary in the United Kingdom in March 2020, the Telenco Group is strengthening its presence in Germany in July 2021. Endorsed by its shareholder, Ergon Capital, Telenco successfully completed its first external growth with the acquisition of the SKM Skyline German company.
SKM Skyline was founded in 1976. Based near Munich in Kircheim-Heimstetten, the company is a specialist in the design, assembly and distribution of FTTx, datacenter and LAN connectivity equipment. A total of 26 employees and 40 years of expertise in the field of wired networks have now joined the Telenco Group.
The combination of SKM Skyline, a pioneer in connectivity, and Telenco, one of the European leaders in FTTH last mile access connectivity, offers great opportunities in a German market where the potential for FTTH rollouts is now greater than in France.
This acquisition comes as a response to the demand of a fast-growing market and allows the Telenco Group to better meet the needs of German customers. SKM Skyline’s industrial know-how and logistical capabilities are also assets which complement Telenco’s technical and commercial knowledge.
Thanks to an enriched and more relevant offer for the German FTTH market, Telenco’s strategy to become a key player in the deployment of telecom networks in Europe is becoming a reality.
